Content Policy
Pixmint creates and edits images with AI models from third-party providers. These rules explain what is not allowed, why, and what happens when a request breaks them.
The short version
- You must be 18 or older to use Pixmint.
- No sexual content or nudity of any kind.
- No content involving minors in any sexual, harmful or exploitative way. Requests that target this are blocked and can lead to account suspension.
- No non-consensual edits of real people: do not edit photos of a person to humiliate, sexualize, harass or impersonate them.
- No deceptive deepfakes: do not create fake images designed to mislead people about what someone said, did or endorsed, or to pass as real evidence.
- Only edit photos you have the right to use.
Who can use Pixmint
Pixmint is for adults. Before your first generation you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you have the right to use the images you upload and that you accept the terms and the privacy policy. Pixmint does not allow adult content, so there is no setting that turns it on.
What is not allowed
The following are blocked when we detect them and are prohibited whether or not they are detected:
- Sexual content and nudity, including sexual edits of real or fictional people and requests to remove or alter clothing.
- Minors. Any sexual or exploitative content involving children, and any attempt to create or edit images of minors in a harmful way.
- Non-consensual edits of real people. Using someone's photo without their consent to demean, harass, threaten or impersonate them.
- Deceptive deepfakes. Fabricated images presented as real, including fake endorsements, staged evidence, and false depictions of real events or public figures meant to mislead.
- Fake identity documents and forged paperwork, including using the shadow remover or editor to change what a document says.
- Extreme violence and gore, and instructions for serious harm.
- Removing watermarks or copyright marks from images you do not own. Pixmint does not provide watermark removal.
- Anything illegal where you live or where the image is used.
Photos you upload
The AI image editor, shadow remover, object remover, background remover and image to image all start from photos you provide. Upload only photos you took yourself or that you otherwise have the right to use.
Photos of other people deserve special care. Edit them only when the person would be fine with the result. Fixing the lighting on a friend's portrait or removing a stranger from a holiday snapshot is ordinary use. Changing someone's body, face or surroundings in a way that misrepresents or demeans them is not.
The photo tools are designed to keep faces, skin texture, expressions and text unchanged and not to beautify anyone. That is a safeguard, not a guarantee, so always review the result of an edit that involves a person.
What is fine
Most use is ordinary and welcome. Examples of normal, allowed uses:
- Generating illustrations, product visuals, posters, concept art and social images from a prompt.
- Removing a shadow from your own product photo, a receipt or a portrait of yourself.
- Removing a passer-by or a cable from a photo you took.
- Putting your own product on a new background.
- Making variations of your own artwork with reference images.
How the policy is enforced
Every request is checked automatically before any credits are used: a keyword filter first, then an AI safety check that reads your prompt and a small copy of every photo you upload (to the editor, the photo tools or as a reference image). A blocked request is not charged, does not generate an image and comes back with the reason. Each finished image is checked too: an image that shows sexual content or involves minors is withheld and refunded, and an image with another problem, or one that shows a real person, is delivered to you but can never be shared publicly. Automated checks are a first line of defense and are not perfect: they can miss harmful requests and occasionally block harmless ones. The model providers apply their own safety systems on top, and Seedream, which runs on ByteDance's Volcengine Ark servers in mainland China, is subject to that country's content review.
Accounts that repeatedly try to get around the rules are suspended. Because Pixmint is an early version, we are still adding more checks and will update this page as they change.
The public gallery
The public gallery only contains text-to-image results from signed-in users. Photo edits, tool results, images made from reference images and guest images are never listed, and neither is anything our safety check flags as showing a real person or as a problem in the finished image. Free accounts share new results by default and can make any of them private or delete them at any time; accounts that bought credits keep results private by default.
Every gallery image has a Report button. Reports are weighted so that one person cannot hide an image alone: reports from established accounts count more than guest reports, each account or device counts once, and you cannot report your own image. Once enough reports add up, the image is hidden until a person has reviewed it. A report about sexual content or a minor also makes us re-check the image with our automated check right away, and if it confirms, the image is hidden and removed.
Reporting a problem
If you see content created with Pixmint that breaks these rules, use the Report button on its gallery page. If you believe an image infringes your rights, email support@pixmint.ai with a link to the image and the basis of your claim. See also the FAQ for how long images are stored and how to delete your data.
