Getting started and accounts

Who runs Pixmint?

Pixmint is an independent, self-funded service run by an individual founder. It is not affiliated with Google, OpenAI, ByteDance or xAI. It launched on 2026-10-23. Contact: support@pixmint.ai. See the about page.

What is Pixmint?

Pixmint is a web app for AI image generation and photo editing. It offers image models from Google (Nano Banana), OpenAI (GPT Image) and ByteDance (Seedream) in one place, plus a shadow remover, object remover, background remover and a free-form AI image editor. See the models and tools pages.

Do I need an account?

No. Guests can generate 5 images per day with Seedream 5.0 Flash and use the photo tools 3 times per day. An account unlocks the other models and gives you free credits.

How do I sign in?

Click Sign in and enter your email address; we send a six-digit code that expires after 10 minutes. Google sign-in is not available at the moment. There is no password to remember.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. The Account page lets you delete your account and all stored data at any time.

Who can use Pixmint?

You must be 18 or older. Pixmint does not allow adult content of any kind. See the content policy.

Which languages and devices does it support?

The site is in English and runs in a modern web browser on desktop and phone. There is no separate app to install.

Credits and pricing

What is a credit?

A credit is Pixmint's unit of payment. One credit is worth $0.01 at list price. A Seedream 5.0 Flash image costs 5 credits, GPT Image 2.5 costs 15, Nano Banana Pro costs 36, and a photo-tool run costs 15 ($0.15). The full list is on the pricing page.

What are daily credits?

Signed-in users receive 20 credits every day. Daily credits expire at the end of the day (UTC) and are spent before any other credits.

How many free credits do I get?

50 credits on your first sign-in, plus 20 every day.

Can I buy credits?

Paid plans are planned but not available yet, so nothing can be bought today (see pricing). Planned prices: 500 credits for $4.90, 1,100 credits for $9.90, 2,400 credits for $19.90, or a monthly plan of 1,200 credits for $9.90. See pricing for the current state.

Am I charged if a generation fails?

No. Failed images are refunded automatically. Blocked prompts are not charged either.

Do reference images cost extra?

No. An image costs the same credits with or without reference images.

The free tier

What do guests get for free?

5 Seedream 5.0 Flash images and 3 photo-tool runs per day, without an account. Guest tool runs use Seedream 5.0 Flash.

What are the limits on free images?

Images made with free credits or as a guest are up to 1024 px, carry a small "pixmint.ai" watermark and are for personal, non-commercial use. Free use also has a site-wide daily cost cap: when it is reached, free generation pauses until the next UTC day.

Is any model fully free?

Seedream 5.0 Flash is the only model open to guests. All other models need a free account and credits.

Can I remove the watermark?

Paid plans are planned to produce images without the watermark; they are not available yet. Pixmint does not offer a tool for removing watermarks from other people's images.

Privacy and your images

Who sees my prompts and images?

To create or edit an image, your prompt and any images you upload are sent to the provider behind the model you chose: ByteDance's Volcengine Ark for Seedream (servers in mainland China, which apply that country's content review), and a third-party API relay service (sudocode) that passes GPT Image and Nano Banana requests on to OpenAI and Google. Before every request starts, an AI safety check, also reached through the relay, reads the prompt and a small (up to 512 px) copy of any photo you uploaded, and it looks at a small copy of each finished image together with its prompt before you receive it. We have not verified where the relay operates or how it handles data. The about page and the privacy policy have details. Text-to-image results you share in the public gallery are visible to everyone.

How long are my images stored?

Guest images are deleted after 24 hours and free accounts' images after 7 days (30 days is planned for paid accounts, which are not available yet), or earlier if you delete them in History. Images you share in the public gallery are kept until you make them private or delete them.

What is the public gallery?

The public gallery shows text-to-image results that signed-in users chose to share, each with its prompt and model, so visitors can try the same idea. It never shows who made an image. Free accounts share new text-to-image results by default; accounts that bought credits keep them private by default.

Which images can appear in the gallery?

Only results made from a text prompt by a signed-in user. Photo edits, tool results, images made from reference images, guest images and anything our safety check flags (a real person, or a problem in the finished image) are never shared. Shared images carry the Pixmint watermark.

How do I make an image private or delete it?

Before you generate, the generator shows whether your text-to-image results will be public or private and has a switch for it. In History, every eligible result has a Public / Private button, and the Account page has the same default switch. Deleting a result in History removes it from the gallery too, and deleting your account removes everything.

Do you train AI models on my images?

No. Pixmint does not use your images to train models. The model providers have their own policies; according to their published terms, OpenAI's API does not train on API data without consent, Google's paid API does not use it for training, and Volcengine Ark says it does not train without authorization. See the privacy policy.

What data do you store about me?

Your email address if you sign in, your credit history and the images you create or upload. We use a session cookie for sign-in and a device cookie for the daily free limits, and store a hashed form of your IP address to enforce limits and prevent abuse. No advertising cookies. Read the full privacy policy.

Why do guests see a human check?

To stop bots from using the free tier, guests are checked with Cloudflare Turnstile before each generation, edit or tool run. It is usually invisible. Signed-in users do not see it.

Should I upload sensitive documents?

We recommend not uploading anything you are not comfortable sending to a third-party model provider, such as identity documents or bank statements.

Commercial use and rights

Can I use Pixmint images commercially?

Not today. Images made with free credits carry a watermark. Commercial use is planned to come with paid plans, which are not available yet, so today free outputs are for personal, non-commercial use only. See the terms.

Who owns the images I create?

Pixmint does not claim ownership of the images you create or upload. Free outputs are for personal, non-commercial use only, and commercial use is planned to come with paid plans (not available yet). You are responsible for making sure your prompts and uploads do not infringe anyone else's rights. AI-generated images may not be unique, since similar prompts can give similar images, and may not be protectable by copyright where you live. The model providers' own terms may also apply. See the terms.

Can I edit photos I found online?

Only photos you have the right to use. Do not upload images of other people to harm, impersonate or deceive them.

Refunds

Do I get credits back when something fails?

Yes, automatically. Every failed image is refunded to your credit balance, and guest quota is given back.

What is the refund policy for purchases?

Paid checkout is not open yet. A refund policy for purchases will be published together with checkout, and the terms will be updated.

Why was my prompt blocked?

Every request is checked before any credits are used, first by a keyword filter and then by an AI safety check that reads your prompt and the photos you upload. If it breaches the content policy, it is declined with a reason and nothing is charged.

Safety and content

What content is not allowed?

Sexual content, any content involving minors, non-consensual edits of real people, deceptive deepfakes, extreme violence, and fake identity documents. The content policy has the details.

What happens if I try to get around the rules?

Blocked requests are not charged, and accounts that repeatedly try to get around the rules are suspended.

How do I report a problem or a copyright issue?

Every image in the public gallery has a Report button. Reports are weighted: reports from established accounts count more than guest reports, each account or device counts once, and an image is hidden automatically until we have reviewed it once enough reports add up. A report about sexual content or a minor also triggers an immediate automated re-check. For anything else, including copyright takedown and abuse reports, email support@pixmint.ai.

What Pixmint can and cannot do

What file types and sizes can I upload?

JPG, PNG and WebP up to 20 MB. You can add up to four reference images to a generation, and prompts can be up to 3,000 characters. Large photos are scaled to a 2048 px long side in your browser.

Does Pixmint make videos?

No. Pixmint creates and edits still images only.

Can it upscale or unblur photos?

Not at the moment. The current tools are image generation, the AI image editor, shadow remover, object remover and background remover.

Is there an API?

No. Pixmint is a web app.

Does the background remover make transparent PNGs?

No. It produces a flat white background.

Which aspect ratios are available?

1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 and 9:16, with one to four images per generation.
