Seedream 5.0 Pro AI Image Generator

Seedream 5.0 Pro is the higher-tier model in ByteDance's Seedream 5.0 generation. On Pixmint it costs 12 credits per image, between Seedream 4.0 and the OpenAI models, and it is the strongest of the three Seedream models available here. It supports text prompts, up to four reference images and photo editing in the AI image editor.

In our example set it stands out for detail and atmosphere: moody night lighting, richer scenery in the illustrations, bold and confident typography. It is also the Seedream model that comes closest to the look of a photograph.

In Pixmint's setup it renders at around 2K resolution. Free-credit images are scaled down to 1024 px with a small watermark and are for non-commercial use.

These six images were generated with Seedream 5.0 Pro on Pixmint. The exact prompt is printed under each one, and you can copy any of them into the tool above. Each prompt was run once, so treat the notes as impressions from a single sample, not as a benchmark.

• Atmosphere and lighting. Wet streets, glowing lanterns and dark interiors are handled convincingly.
• Richer scenes. The illustrations contain more objects and background story than the cheaper Seedream models.
• Typography. On the poster test it produced the boldest, most poster-like text treatment of the Seedream models.
• Price for the quality tier. At 12 credits it costs less than GPT Image (15) and Nano Banana (18 and 36).

• It can lean dark and moody. If you want bright and sunny, say so explicitly.
• In the isometric icon test the layout was wide and busy rather than a tight single icon; ask for "a single object, centered, minimal" if you need an icon.
• These are single samples per prompt. Run your own prompt to see how it behaves on your subject.

Against Seedream 5.0 Flash it adds detail and drama for 7 more credits. Against Seedream 4.0 it is darker and more detailed where 4.0 is bright and decorative.

Seedream 5.0 Pro costs 12 credits ($0.12) per image. Four images in one go cost 48 credits ($0.48). Failed images are refunded automatically, so you only pay for images you receive.

One credit is worth about $0.01 at the planned list price. The signup bonus of 50 credits and the 20 daily credits are enough to try several of the paid models, and the photo tools cost 15 credits per run.

Planned paid plans (not available yet): 500 credits for $4.90, 1,100 credits for $9.90, 2,400 credits for $19.90, or a monthly plan of 1,200 credits for $9.90. Paid plans are planned but not available yet, so nothing can be bought today (see pricing). If the largest planned pack (2,400 credits) goes on sale, it would cover roughly 200 Seedream 5.0 Pro images.

Guests (no account) get 5 free Seedream 5.0 Flash images and 3 photo-tool uses per day. Signed-in users get 50 credits on their first sign-in plus 20 credits every day. Free outputs are up to 1024 px with a small watermark and are for personal non-commercial use.
