Seedream 5.0 Flash AI Image Generator

Seedream is ByteDance's family of image generation models, and Seedream 5.0 Flash is the fast, low-cost member of the 5.0 generation. On Pixmint it is the free model: guests can generate with it without an account, and it is the cheapest model to use with credits at 5 credits per image.

Flash models are designed around speed and price rather than maximum detail. That makes it a natural first stop: type a prompt, see quickly whether the idea works, and only then decide whether it deserves a more expensive model. It accepts reference images, so the same model also works for image-to-image and for edits in the AI image editor.

In Pixmint's setup Seedream models render at around 2K resolution (for example 2048 x 2048 for a square image). Images made with free credits are scaled down to 1024 px and carry a small Pixmint watermark.

These six images were generated with Seedream 5.0 Flash on Pixmint. The exact prompt is printed under each one, and you can copy any of them into the tool above. Each prompt was run once, so treat the notes as impressions from a single sample, not as a benchmark.

• Price and speed. It is free for guests and the cheapest paid model, so it is the right model for brainstorming and for many rounds of iteration.
• Literal prompt following on simple scenes. On our poster test it set the exact words on a plain background without adding anything extra.
• Good drafts for illustration styles. The watercolor fox came out charming at a fraction of the price of the Pro models.

• In our night-scene sample it produced a darker, less detailed image than the Pro models. For dense, busy scenes, step up.
• It tends to take a prompt at face value. If you want extra flourish or a designed layout, ask for it explicitly or use a model that adds more on its own.
• Free images are watermarked, limited to 1024 px and for non-commercial use.

Against the other Seedream models, Seedream 4.0 adds brighter colors and more decorative flourishes for 8 credits, and Seedream 5.0 Pro gives more detail and atmosphere for 12 credits. Flash is the plain, fast option.

Against the OpenAI and Google models, which cost 15 to 36 credits, Flash will usually look simpler, but it costs a third or less of the price of GPT Image and a small fraction of Nano Banana Pro. A good routine is to draft here and finish on GPT Image 2.5 or Nano Banana 2.

Seedream 5.0 Flash is the free model on Pixmint. It costs 5 credits ($0.05) per image when you spend credits, and guests can generate 5 images a day with it at no cost.

One credit is worth about $0.01 at the planned list price. The signup bonus of 50 credits and the 20 daily credits are enough to try several of the paid models, and the photo tools cost 15 credits per run.

Planned paid plans (not available yet): 500 credits for $4.90, 1,100 credits for $9.90, 2,400 credits for $19.90, or a monthly plan of 1,200 credits for $9.90. Paid plans are planned but not available yet, so nothing can be bought today (see pricing). If the largest planned pack (2,400 credits) goes on sale, it would cover roughly 480 Seedream 5.0 Flash images.

Guests (no account) get 5 free Seedream 5.0 Flash images and 3 photo-tool uses per day. Signed-in users get 50 credits on their first sign-in plus 20 credits every day. Free outputs are up to 1024 px with a small watermark and are for personal non-commercial use.
